“Eating words has never given me indigestion.” – Winston Churchill
Churchill was an ‘in-your-face’ type of guy. He had strong convictions and followed them. Many historians claim that Churchill “was a great man at the cost of his country’s greatness.”
The number of blunders that historians discover while peering back into Churchill’s history are numerous. Even duting Churchill’s life there were numerous errors he made, but not once did he feel ashamed of his actions.
Churchill made some of the toughest choices in England’s history, and he made the best choice in any given situation for the good of the country. Even if the best choice was not a popular or altogether good choice. In our lives we will find ourslevesfacing decisions that have no right answer, only a better answer based on our convictions. In those instances we must take the Churchill stance and do the best with what we have; knowing that we may have to eat our words later
With that in mind we must make our words as palatable as possible.
