Another busy and fun day! Rachel and I are both so glad that we took 2 weeks for this vacation – there is so much to see and there is so much to do.We have been having so much fun that we didn’t realize how tired we were – so last night it finally caught up and sleep came early!
Yesterday started with a trip to Santa Monica. We were able to walk along the third street promenade, the Santa Monica Pier and boardwalk, and also drive around the town and down to Venice Beach. You will notice that Rach got some tea with Honey Sticks (which were quite difficult to open and use). Also, you will see the Route 66 sign. Here are those pictures:
After Santa Monica we headed to the Hollywood sign. It was such a great time heading up the mountain to the sign and we also were able to eat at a super fun place in Hollywoodland! The scenic views were amazing and the whole experience was so great. There is also a brief video.

Since we were in the area of Hollywood, we headed over to the Hollywood walk of fame to see the stars on the sidewalk. But the real stow shopper of that are was the Grauman Chinese Theater. It was such a neat experience to see great actors and actresses hand and foot prints in the cement. Some of these impressions date back to the 30s.
After all that we were tuckered, but decided to make one more stop in Calabasas. We wanted to see the area and also the Dash store.
We ended the day with dinner at the Souplantion and some fantastic relaxation.
